News & Updates from Shannon Kennedy

Performance's at Jojo's Hideaway and the Grand Annex

This past weekend I had the opportunity to perform two shows with two fantastic bands. The first at Jojo's Hideaway with the House Band led by Jeff Carlson. It was a fun night with a lot of classic rock covers and some RnB. They gave me the spotlight on a few tunes and I got to join the stage with a few other the other guests that night.

The following night, I rejoined Ali Coyle and her band at the Grand Annex. We played songs from her debut EP as well as her two latest singles.

It was a fun weekend of music…

Press for Back Again

"Back Again is an enjoyable collection of tunes that have many styles and sounds all presented in a smooth jazz styling. Overall, the music is themed by a feel-good vibe with smooth saxophone playing leading the way. There is a little funk, R&B, some pop and a whole lot of sounds that let you know this is smooth jazz. Back Again is an album that has a smooth jazz base, but it is clear that Kennedy had a good time exploring other contemporary musical influences. Another win for Kennedy and her positive

New Review of Back Again in French

Paris Move published a fantastic review of my album "Back Again" released in 2019. It's in French, so here is a translation:

"Smooth jazz evolves from generation to generation, and Shannon Kennedy, a brilliant saxophonist, is a very good example. If Shannon is, of course, a smooth jazz artist, this talented musician looks to her roots in 80s rock or in current pop, putting her touch on “Rolling In The Deep” by Adele, and even succeeding in making a much more interesting version than the original. "Back…
